Adam Holloway has "waged war" on people who don't pick up after their dogs, after coming face-to-face with canine droppings in Gravesend town centre.
Last Tuesday, in a Facebook post entitled 'Should our streets be sewers?', the Gravesham MP said he first noticed a pile of waste while rushing to a meeting.
He said: "By the time I came back, several people had walked in it.
"Courtesy of Tesco, I got hold of a few plastic bags and cleared it up, watched over by my friend Father Ted Goodyer of Huggins College.
"I show these pictures in order to raise the point that if we are prepared to help out early, we can avoid things getting worse.
"Also, that we should all be at war with people who somehow think their neighbours should walk in their dog waste, and that it is somehow everyone else's responsibility to clear up after them - not theirs.
"If you can get me genuine photos of these selfish people allowing this to happen, I will post them here and ask the council to prosecute."
