A homeless man at London Bridge has had an emotional reunion with his beloved Staffordshire bull terrier Treacle who was reportedly stolen from him.
Heartbroken Twitter and Facebook users launched a campaign to bring the pair back together after the dog was apparently snatched by someone “presenting themselves as a police officer” last week.
The man, known only as Michael, who is a regular sight at London Bridge, was said to be a “complete mess” and unable to cope without his companion.
Last night gleeful 'Treacle's Troopers' reported Michael had his dog back.
In other good news, Michael is also said to have found accommodation now too.
