Police are appealing for witnesses a week on from a woman being stabbed outside a bar in Islington.

A 25-year-old woman was outside Canal Bar in Caledonian Road shortly before midnight on May 16 into May 17 when she was approached by an unknown man and stabbed in the leg.

The attacker ran off south along Caledonian Road before turning right into Wharfdale Road and then turning left into Killick Street.

London Ambulance Service took the woman to hospital in a serious condition.

She has since been discharged and is recovering at home.

The suspect has been described as a light-skinned black man wearing dark clothes.

There has so far been no arrests.
