The OXO Tower on London’s South Bank briefly became the LOL Tower this week, in the name of comedy and charity.

The coloured lettering on the side of the building was temporarily changed in celebration of a one-off gig headlined by Jenny Éclair to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Staged by npower, the show also featured Jason Cook and Mark Davison who have appeared in the company’s recent TV ads.

The gig was attended by celebrities such as Helen George from Call the Midwife, as well as by Macmillan professionals and people affected by cancer.

Jenny Eclair said: “I love making people laugh and knowing how important humour is to those touched by cancer, I was so excited to be asked to headline the ‘LOLGig’.

“The audience was definitely one of my best yet, and to top it off – it’s all for Macmillan.”

In addition to the show, npower has pledged to donate £1 to Macmillan for every view it receives for a funny YouTube video featuring Jenny.
