Nine men have been arrested today by detectives investigating the Hatton Garden jewellery heist over Easter.
More than 200 officers raided 12 addresses in Enfield, east London and Dartford in Kent this morning.
The men, seven arrested first with two more later, range in age from 43 to 76.
They were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to burgle and taken to a London police station.
Police say a “significant amounts of high value property” was recovered which officers are confident was stolen during the raid.
Searches at the addresses are ongoing.
A gang raided the vault of a safe deposit company over the Easter weekend, ransacking 72 safety deposit boxes.
Thieves disabled a communal lift on the second floor before using the lift shaft to climb down into the basement.
They forced open shutter doors into the basement and bored holes into the vault wall.
Reports said the contents of the boxes may have been worth as much as £60 million.
Last month police announced a reward of £20,000 for any information leading to the arrest and conviction of all those responsible for the heist.
