Mystery surrounds an incident in Sidcup yesterday evening (May 13), with reports on social media claiming a fight took place involving 'iron bars' and 'cars trying to run people over'.
The incident happened at around 9pm in Wellington Avenue, near The Oval.
On Twitter, Nicola Hayward posted: "There were reports of white and black males fighting at The Oval.
"Iron bars and cars trying to run them over?"
The police confirmed they were called to the scene.
A police spokesman said: "The police were called at 9.02pm to reports of fighting in Wellington Avenue, Sidcup.
"Officers attended the scene and spoke to a 17-year-old male who had suffered minor injuries.
"No arrests were made and enquiries continue."
