Commercial Street in Whitechapel is blocked due to a shop fire.
Four fire engines and around 20 firefighters were called to the blaze at 3.15pm.
The fire is affecting part of a newsagent's on the ground floor of the four-storey building and a beautician's in the property's basement,
The road was completely closed for an hour but is now open though it remains partially blocked with queuing traffic.
