An Adventure Isle, mythical castle and fantasy port could pop up on the Swanscombe Peninsula – if plans for London Paramount are given the go ahead later this year.

New illustrations and plans to remodel the A2 have been revealed by the company behind the planned multi-billion pound entertainment resort, London Resort Company Holdings (LRCH) in the wake of a fourth stage of public consultations.

Revellers look set to enjoy themed areas including ‘Adventure Isle,’ ‘Myths and Legends Castle,’ ‘Port Plaza’ and ‘Paramount Port Bay’ featuring rides for families and thrill-seekers alike when the resort opens in 2020 – if plans, due to be submitted in the summer, are passed by the Secretary of State.

LRCH bosses have announced plans to hold a daily ‘Paramount and Friends Carnival’ followed by "spectacular shows celebrating the work of Paramount Pictures and other content partners" – including Aardman productions and the BBC.

An alternative design for a dedicated exit on the A2 for traffic heading for the resort has also been revealed along with plans for 14,000 car parking spaces, a 1,500 seat theatre showcasing ‘West End quality’ shows, an art-house style cinema and a nightclub.

Previous information released by LRHC promised a theme park, water park, creative business spaces and a 5,000 bedroom on-site hotel.

Other traffic-calming measures could include later opening and closing times to reduce the impact upon peak travel hours, alternative travel arrangements for staff on busy days at the resort, and breakdown patrol vans available along the A2 to reduce delays caused by breakdowns and accidents.

The developer is also planning on making good use of public transport, including enhancing the Fastrack bus network, creating a high frequency train service from Ebbsfleet International Station to the resort, and making use of the Thames with a river bus service.
