Cheque of more than £1,000 presented to charity
Hindus presented a cheque to charity following a nine-day festival.
International Siddhashram Shakti Centre celebrated the festival of Navratri in September last year, and has now presented a cheque of more than £1,000 to Age UK Harrow from money raised during the festivities.
Volunteers from Age UK Harrow worked with people from the centre to make the festival successful and enjoyable.
A total of £1,001 was presented by Age UK chairman Dal Babu and trustees Raj Rajeshwar Guruji, Minesh Patel and Dilip Choubal to Avani Modessa, Age UK Harrow chief executive on March 30.
