Talented performers are required for two community events this summer.

Elmbridge Council wants to hear from singers, musicians, comedians, dancers and variety acts to perform on stage at Leisure Live.

The annual community event aims to introduce people to the wealth of arts, culture and sports available in the borough.

Councillor Mary Sheldon, portfolio holder for leisure and culture, said: "We have so many young artists in the borough and large community events like Leisure Live and Proms in the Park and the Street Culture programme give them the chance to perform, be seen and make the most of their talent."

Now in its fifth year, Leisure Live often attracts large crowds of all ages.

This year the event will take place on Friday, July 3, and Saturday, July 4, at Churchfields Recreation Ground, Weybridge.
