A 78-YEAR-OLD woman who was critically injured when an ambulance crashed near Paisley has died.
May Morris, who used a wheelchair, was in a patient transport bus that collided with a Ford Transit van and a Volkswagen Golf in Renfrew Road at lunchtime last Wednesday.
The Paisley pensioner was rushed to the town's Royal Alexandra Hospital and transferred to Glasgow's Western Infirmary, where she died at the weekend.
Meanwhile, police are appealing for witnesses after a 54-year-old man died when his Renault Clio left a road in Ayrshire and overturned early yesterday.
The victim, who has not been named, was travelling on a C-class road between Kilmarnock and Moscow village when the crash happened south of the junction with the B7072.
