A fiery lion roared in the Chinese New Year in Hounslow last Saturday in front of an enthralled crowd.
Around 500 people crammed into the Treaty Centre from midday to bid each other "xinnian kuaile" - or Happy New Year in Mandarin.
It is now the Year of the Golden Pig, with children born over the next 12 months said to bring great future wealth to their families.
Singers from the Hounslow Chinese Community Centre performed traditional tunes in the shopping centre as young children showed off special dances.
Drummers provided a furious backbeat to the event as several locals gave a demonstration of martial arts.
The event then moved into the Paul Robeson Theatre where Far Eastern Arts, a troupe of Taiwanese acrobats, performed.
