A lost dog with no collar has been returned to his owner, with a £40 fine to boot.
In the middle of dealing with another incident on Thursday evening (March 26), PCSO Sarah Janes was handed a small dog a passerby presumed was lost.
He had been found wandering about with no collar on and was taken to the officer in Heath Road, Weybridge. He was tucked up in a blanket while the dog warden was called.
The dog has now been reunited with his owner but it came with a cost. The dog warden fined the owner £40 because the dog was not wearing a collar and tag in a public place.
