An 82-year-old woman was cut from her car after becoming trapped.

Firefighters from Esher and Painshill were called to Esher Green at 11.46am after two cars crashed, leaving one car wedged in the air on a bollard and the woman trapped.

There was smoke originally coming from the car, but the firefighters managed to get her out safely by cutting off the roof.

Traffic built up and caused large delays for drivers following the crash. The area is now clear but traffic is still slow.

Police and ambulance crews were called, and the woman is thought to have been taken to hospital.
