Firefighters battled a flat blaze for an hour today.
The converted terraced house was evacuated and there are no reports of any injuries.
The loft and the kitchen on the first floor of the building were damaged by the fire in Cleveland Park Avenue, Walthamstow.
Four fire engines and around 21 firefighters were called to the scene at 11.45am and the fire was reported as under control an hour later.
London Fire Brigade said the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
