People shaved their heads, baked cakes, painted their faces and even dressed up as a woman to raise money for Comic Relief.

UK Power Networks, in Darkes Lane, Potters Bar, raised more than £700 for the charity which helps change the lives of disadvantaged people in the UK and Africa.

Staff had their legs waxed, wore wigs and held a sponsored silence, as well as a cake day.

Customer service manager Tom Berry decided he would shave his locks for the event, while others paid to dress down for the day or baked cakes to raise as much money as possible.

Dominique Mann decided he would dress as a woman and go shopping to a nearby supermarket if his colleagues could stump up more than £200 – which they did.
