The former editor of This Morning joins TV presenter Fern Britton for her latest cycling challenge.

Siubhan Klejdys, from Esher, will saddle up for the entire journey from John O'Groats to Land's End from May 1 to 21.

The pair, plus more than 70 people who have signed up to join in, will cycle 57 miles a day to raise funds for Genesis Research Trust.

A patron of the trust, Ms Britton, 57, said: "This is one of the greatest personal challenges for me, and possibly you. I am delighted that Siubhan, a former colleague, is joining me and hope that we can encourage other Elmbridge residents to join us as well as provide their support.

"Together we can do it and together we might just get closer to stopping the heartbreak of miscarriage."

Genesis Research Trust carries out research into the prevention of miscarriage in pregnancy.

Ms Klejdys said: "Fern and I worked closely for many years on ITV's This Morning when I was editor of the show, and became good friends outside of the studio.

"We have a lot in common, not the least of which is our personal struggles to have children."
