Two men threatened shop workers with a knife and demanded cash before making off with £15.

Surrey Police are appealing for witnesses following a robbery at a shop in West Molesey.

The men went into the shop in Central Avenue at 10.30pm on Tuesday, March 10, armed with a knife.

The two employees, a man and a woman, were shutting up the shop when the men approached.

One was white, 5ft 8in, of medium build and wearing a blue or black jacket with a hood.

The other was white, about 5ft 9in, in his mid 20s and he had a mousy brown moustache. He was wearing a black hooded jacket with the hood up.

The two workers were unhurt.

Detective Constable Felicity Bracewell said: "We are asking for the public's help in trying to track down the two men who carried out this appalling act.

"I would urge anyone who knows or think they might know who is responsible to get in touch with us immediately so we can deal with them through the courts.

"If you are concerned about talking to us, you can report it anonymously through the independent charity Crimestoppers.

"We simply will not tolerate such brazen attacks on shop owners who should be able to go about their business without the fear of being threatened."
