Angry campaigners attempted to present Wandsworth Council with an Antisocial Behaviour Order (Asbo) on Monday.
The protesters, which included members of the Wandsworth Historial Society, Putney Society and Wandsworth Museum workers, accused the council of "acts of cultural vandalism" following the news of potential cuts to Wandsworth Museum, Battersea Arts Centre, the De Morgan Centre, West Hill library and Alvering library.
However, nobody from the council was available to accept the Asbo.
Similar protests have seen children from schools in the borough present cards asking for the council to reconsider its proposals to cut back on services.
There have also been union-organised protests outside the museum, and users of the Battersea Arts Centre held a mock funeral outside the Lavender Hill centre to make their feelings known on the potential loss.
