Officers investigating the stabbing of a teenager in Leytonstone last month have released CCTV footage of three suspects.

The men are wanted in connection with grievous bodily harm (GBH) after a 19-year-old man was punched and stabbed three times outside Leytonstone Leisure Centre in Cathall Road on February 3.

The victim was approached by the men, who questioned him on where he was going and where he was from.

He was then attacked after telling them to "mind their own business".

Emergency services were called to the scene at around 12.30am and found the 19-year-old suffering stab wounds.

He was taken to an east London hospital and underwent surgery.

Police confirm he is now stable and has been discharged from hospital.

CCTV footage shows the three suspects walking through an underpass.

Police say only one image has been released as the two other suspects had their faces covered.

Suspect one is described as between 17 and 18 years old, around 5ft 11ins, of slim build with light brown eyes.

He had a black scarf wrapped around his face, a dark coloured coat with a fur trim and dark coloured tracksuit trousers.

He spoke with a high pitched east London accent.

Suspect two is also described as a light skinned black man, 5ft 6ins, of slim build.

He was wearing a balaclava, dark blue jeans, a hooded top and a jacket.

Suspect three is a black man, 5ft 10ins, of stocky build with dark brown eyes.

He was wearing a balaclava or scarf which covered his face.

No arrests have been made and enquires continue.
