A tranquil street in Sidcup erupted in scenes of violence as a crack dealer was pinned to the bonnet of a police squad car.

But do not worry, it was all part of director Gareth Fient’s latest film, Deep Breaths.

Gareth, who is from Sidcup, is working with BBC screenwriter Darren Rapier on the project based on his own idea.

Primarily filmed in locations around Bexley Road, including his old school, Cleeve Park, it tells the story of a love triangle which turns violent.

This Is Local London:

Since its inception in 2009, Gareth has entered films into the Rob Knox Film Festival – named after the young Bexley actor who was murdered in 2008, shortly after finishing filming in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.

Gareth persuaded Rob’s younger brother, Jamie, to play the part of drug dealer Devon.

Jamie said: “Gareth Fient is an extremely talented filmmaker and I jumped at the opportunity to work with him."
