Police are trawling through 200 hours of footage to identify suspects following the Millwall vs Rotherham United game.

After Rotherham scored the winning goal, several stewards were attacked in the Millwall section of the ground, leading to additional police officers being deployed to restore order.

There was further disorder as fans left the ground and a number of stewards and police officers sustained minor injuries during the incident.

Senior investigating officer Detective Inspector Steven Ashmore said: "The actions of a few spoiled this event for others and their behaviour will not be tolerated.

"We have extensive footage available to us from inside the ground and work has already begun in earnest to identify those individuals involved.

"I'd like to reassure the public of Rotheram that we are taking this incident incredibly seriously and if anyone has any information or footage they wish to share with us then I would urge them to get in touch.

Anyone with information should call 101 quoting incident number 290 of Febraury 28 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
