An application to sell alcohol and play music at new wine bar was withdrawn just before a decision was due.
Bolanle Balogun, owner of A and J Restaurant and Wine Bar in Lea Bridge Road, Leyton, initially sought permission to open from 7am to 2am between Monday and Wednesday, and until 4.30am on other days.
The venue, formerly known as Island Joint, was the subject of repeated noise complaints under previous owners.
Following discussions with the police, the requested opening hours were cut to midnight between Monday and Thursday and 1am over the weekend.
A decision was due to be made by Waltham Forest council today, but the application was withdrawn.
