Ex-England international footballer Sol Campbell has revealed he could join the race to be Mayor of London.
The former Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur centre back has been in discussion with the Conservative Party about being a candidate in 2016.
He met Tory chairman Grant Shapps in December, during which he reportedly discussed signing up with the party.
Speaking to the Sun, the 40-year-old said he was "definitely interested" in running for the role, but a decision has yet to be made on his behalf.
He said: "We'll see what happens. A few more conversations have to take place."
Campbell previously entered the political fray by blasting Labour party plans for mansion tax on homes valued over £2m ($3.1m), labelling it a "tax on aspiration".
