The thirsty of Orpington got to enjoy a selection of more than 30 real ales and ciders at a festival.

Orpington Liberal Club, based at Station Road, hosted the Beer and Cider festival last Friday and Saturday (February 20 and 21).

The two day event saw 27 different types of real ale, including Hellhound, Neither Nor, Undertaker’s Varnish and Gothic.

There were also eight real ciders and perries on offer, with 21 different brewers.

Duncan Borrowman, chairman of the Orpington Liberal Club, said: "It went very well; we had a couple hundred people over the two days.

"There must have been around 2,000 litres, we didn't run out though!"

Mr Borrowman, who's also on the Bromley CAMRA committee, added: "It was a really relaxing atmosphere, people sitting trying lots of different beers, we had live music too."

For those of you who missed the event, the Bromley Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) branch is holding their Mad March Cider Festival on March 6 and 7.
