A man assisting with a crash near Swanley suffered serious injuries after a car hit his roadside recovery vehicle yesterday (February 19).
The incident happened on the M20 at around 8.30pm, on the coast bound carriageway between junctions 1 for Swanley and 2 for Wrotham.
The man, in his early 40s, suffered serious leg and back injuries.
He was taken by air ambulance to a hospital in London.
His injuries were not thought to be life threatening.
Earlier, at 6.51pm, Kent Police was called to a collision involving three vehicles.
Patrols attended the scene and a rolling road block was put in place.
No injuries were reported.
The road was reopened at 11.16pm.
