Surrey Police: Told people not to hand over cash
A man was reported to be flagging people down on Cobham and Esher A3 slip roads and asking for money.
Surrey Police reminded people not to fall for the story and hand over money.
It said: "Shortly before 1pm on Monday, February 9, a man believed to be in his 30s was allegedly seen begging by the side of the road before getting into a grey or blue coloured Peugeot and leaving the area."
If anyone witnesses any suspicious activity in the area they should call Surrey Police on 101, quoting reference P15035218 or call the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
