Fundraising for an expensive operation for a seven-year-old boy began with a sponsored bike ride at Brooklands.
Christian Rogers, from Byfleet has cerebral palsy and is unable to walk unaided but completed a lap of the Brooklands racetrack for the event to raise £50,000 for a selective dorsal rhizotomy neurosurgical procedure.
Christian and his friends took part in the event on Saturday, February 7, at the Weybridge track.
Lucy Hyde, close friend of the family and mother of one of the children involved in the bike ride, said: "The sponsored bike ride went really well, despite the bitter cold we had a brilliant turn out."
