A man was rushed to hospital after a crash on the A2 in Bexley earlier today.
The incident, involving a motorcycle and a car, happened in East Rochester Way, westbound, shortly after 9am.
The motorcyclist, believed to be in his 50s, suffered a chest injury and was taken to hospital by air ambulance.
The road was closed at the junction with Chester Road while the air ambulance landed.
A spokeswoman for the London Ambulance Service said: "We were called at 9.16am to reports of a person fallen from a motorcycle on East Rochester Way, Sidcup.
"We sent an ambulance crew, a duty station officer and London's Air Ambulance to the scene.
"We treated a man for a chest injury.
"He was taken as a priority to the Royal London Hospital accompanied by the doctor from London's Air Ambulance."
A police spokeswoman added: "Traffic officers attended along with the LAS.
"A man believed to be in his 50s was found at the location.
"He was taken to hospital by the air ambulance who attended.
"His injuries are not life threatening.
"Road closures were put in place to allow officers to deal with the scene and assist with the recovery of the vehicles."
