South east London and north Kent is bracing itself for a cold weekend, but no snow has been forecast over the next few days.
The Met Office says it should be dry and sunny for much of today, but a keen northeasterly wind will make it feel bitterly cold.
Any remaining wintry showers near Kent will die out by the afternoon, as temperatures peak at 5°C
Tonight many places will have a frost as temperatures drop to around -2°C, while Saturday will start with an early frost and patchy light rain.
Brisk northeasterly winds will continue to make it feel very cold, with temperatures reaching a maximum of 6°C.
It'll be a cold start to next week as well, often cloudy, but with some brighter or clearer spells and a few spots of rain possible.
