A 20-year-old man from Greenhithe has been charged with robbery and assault after a Swanscombe councillor was beaten-up yards from his front door in November last year.
At around 10pm on November 7 Cllr Pat Scanlon was on his way back from a meeting of the Swanscombe and Greenhithe Residents Association when he was beaten and robbed of £3 in change outside of his house in Milton Road.

Jack Ludlow of Knockhall Road, had been charged with one count of robbery in connection with an incident in Swanscombe on November 7.
He is also charged with a further count of attempted robbery and one count of assault on the same day.
He will appear at Medway Magistrates’ Court on March 16.
