Many Southeastern users were left on freezing platforms this morning with yet more cancellations and delays, mostly due to overrunning engineering work.

Some Fed up passengers vented their frustration to the train company on social media.

Jamie Brown, tweeted Southeastern from his @Beeski about the cancelled 5.38am Erith to Cannon Street: "@Se_Railway So yet another train cancelled #jokeservice."

There were problems early this morning between London and Dartford via Woolwich Arsenal because of overrunning engineering work although these were reportedly sorted by 6.30am.

Twitter user @thebabyplanners_UK described the situation as “trainhell” after the 6.40am train from Kent House to Victoria was cancelled due to an unavailable crew member.

Southeastern also said buses were accepting passengers at no extra charge between Plumstead and Dartford on reasonable routes.

One frustrated commuter Chris L tweeted from his @CDPL1 account: “No announcements at Woolwich Arsenal.

“People waiting best part of an hour for the next train. Poor.”

Last month a survey revealed Southeastern has the lowest passenger satisfaction rate in the country - even before the recent disruption caused by London Bridge work.

Old Bexley and Sidcup MP James Brokenshire has also said the company is on "borrowed time" after London Bridge users have faced constant problems over the Thameslink upgrade.
