A probation worker has been recognised for his work with gang members and drug addicts.
Jeffrey Cassius, who works in the Edmonton office of the London Community Rehabilitation Company, has won the CRC’s Mark Harris Offender Manager Award.
Mr Cassius works with persistent and prolific offenders who have an addiction, mental health issues, homelessness or are linked with gangs.
Catherine Chaplin, probation officer withthe company who nominated Mr Cassius said: “Jeffrey never loses focus on his aim to reduce reoffending and often continues to support probation service users even after they have completed their order or licence.
“Jeffrey’s ability to encourage individuals to move away from a life of crime are recognised by our partners in the police and drug services, who often ask him to help them deal with challenging individuals.”
Jeffrey received his award during an event held at Draper’s Hall in the City of London on January 30.
