Bexley transport will be boosted by almost £3 million this year.
Some of the cash, from Transport for London (TfL) will be used for the Bexleyheath Town Centre Revitalisation scheme and for improving connectivity around the Slade Green area.
The money will also boost incentives for walking and cycling, and for the maintenance of Bexley’s road, pavements and highway structures.
Cabinet member for the environment and public realm Councillor Don Massey said: "This funding allows us to design and implement some much-needed local schemes that will benefit residents and businesses across the borough."
The TfL funding forms part of Bexley’s local implementation plan allocation, which helps deliver the Mayor of London’s Transport Strategy and the London Borough of Bexley’s transport priorities.
