A chef from Twickenham has cooked up a storm after bagging bronze in the final of a national chef competition.
Darren Poulton, 31, who works for services company Sodexo, travelled to the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham for the grand finale on January 20.
Based at Sodexo's contract with Santander in the city, he looks after a team of six people.
Seven other top chefs from across Sodexo UK and Ireland's 35,000 employees took on Mr Poulton in the contest.
Speaking before the finals, he said: “I’m feeling good about the competition. I’ve done them before and we’ve had a long timeframe to put the menu together.
“I’ve done three practice runs with my commis chef, who will be with me on the day, and we’ve got the 90 minutes planned out. I think I’ve got a good chance.”
