A man has died after collapsing in New Road, Gravesend yesterday evening (January 8).
Police and three ambulance crews were sent to New Road, outside Tesco, shortly before 8pm.
Despite attempts to resuscitate the man, who was in his 70s, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
A spokeswoman for Kent Police said: "Kent Police was called to New Road, Gravesend, at 7.51pm to reports of concern for the welfare of a man in his 70s.
"He was attended to by ambulance staff."
A South East Coast Ambulance spokesman added: "Sadly, despite everyone's best efforts, the man was pronounced dead at the scene."
