A former Bond Girl and Carry On actress is among those to take to the stage as part of a packed programme of songs and readings about World War One.

Members of Actors Richmond Centre including Valerie Leon, who starred in the Spy Who Loved Me and Never Say Never Again, will entertain the audience with words and music around three different meanings of the word spirit.

The evening of entertainment contains extracts ranging from Oh It’s a Lovely War to Die Fledemus and Noel Coward to the Wipers' Times.

Leon says: “It is a fun and varied show with a lot of songs the audience might be able to join in with, and various readings and poems.”

Actors Richmond Centre was set up in the 1980s by Sam Walters, founder of the Orange Tree Theatre, and the group meets every week at the United Reform Church, Raleigh Road.
