Police are appealing for witnesses after two incidents of men indecently exposing themselves in the same road in Mitcham.

A woman in her twenties was walking along Watneys Road, near Commonside East, last Thursday when a man stepped out of a bush and indecently exposed himself.

The incident happened at about 8.30pm.

The man was described as white, slim, in his mid-twenties and about 5ft 6ins.

He was wearing a blue hooded top.

A similar incident took place last month, when a woman in her thirties was walking along Watneys Road when she noticed a jogger was following her.

She was at the junction with Commonside East when he indecently exposed himself at about 8.50am on Monday, November 17.

The man was described as white, medium build, in his thirties and about 5ft 10ins.

He was wearing a grey hooded top.

Detective Inspector Grahame Horwood said: "I am keen for anyone with information to come forward. We will treat all intelligence passed onto us in the strictest confidence and will investigate every lead."
