Police are investigating two reports of theft after post went missing from communal letterboxes in Dartford and Gravesend.

It is reported that a letter, containing a credit card, was stolen in Groveherst Road, Dartford, between November 13 and 23.

Meanwhile two letters, each containing credit cards, were reported stolen in the area of Parrock Road, Gravesend, between October 27 and November 12.

Police Sergeant Karen Radford said: "We are investigating reports that post has been stolen from communal letterboxes.

"Enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances and anyone with information about these incidents is asked to contact the police.

"I would encourage residents to ensure communal areas and letterboxes are as secure as possible. Fraudsters attempt to gain access to your personal details for financial gain.

"Please check your bank statements regularly and if any unfamiliar transactions are listed, contact the financial institution concerned immediately."
