Excited young treasure hunters searched for clues in village shops during a festive evening on Friday.
The Christmas treasure hunt was just one of the many attractions at Ewell Yule in Ewell Village.
Groups of schoolchildren sang carols and Santa took up residence at a grotto in one of the shops in the high street.
A raffle raised about £500 for Epsom and Ewell Foodbank. Morris men, Epsom Male Voice Choir and Epsom and Ewell Silver Band performed on the night.
Ewell Yule co-ordinator Annie Ralph, from Ewell Village Residents' Association, said: "It gets bigger and better every year.
"It’s about promoting the village and the shops in the village and encouraging people to shop here.
"That’s the end game and trying to bring the community together. It was a collective effort between traders residents and the church.
"It’s a community spirited effort."
