A gang of thieves who conspired to steal more than £500,000 worth of Ford Transit vans from towns including Crayford, Greenhithe, Gravesend and Dartford, have been jailed.
Brothers Terry and Scott Vinton, aged 31 and 28, and their accomplices Edward Murphy, 27, and Danny King, 25, were jailed for a total of 14 years and eight months at Canterbury Crown Court on November 4.
The 45 vans they targeted in the summer of 2013 were worth more than £510,400.
They included a Ford Tipper lorry likely stolen on August 27 last year from Priory Road in Dartford, and a Transit taken on September 24 from Dale Road in Crayford.
The Vinton brothers, of Alamein Gardens, Stone, who had previously admitted to conspiracy to steal motor vehicles and conspiracy to handle stolen property, each received five years and eight months.
Edward Murphy, of Field Fare Lane, Greenhithe and Danny King, of Knoxfield caravan site in Darenth Park Avenue, Darenth each received two year and two month sentences having admitted to conspiracy to steal motor vehicles.
