COPACABANA, Barry Manilow’s much-loved hit musical, is being brought to the Winston Churchill Theatre in Pinn Way, Ruislip, by amateur company WOS Productions (Wembley Operatic Society) from Wednesday to Saturday next week (12-15).
In 1947 Manhattan, the lives of wannabe singer Lola and aspiring songwriter Tony intertwine following a chance meeting at the Copacabana lounge.
Trouble, however, is never far away in the young lovers’ liaisons and the destiny of the devoted pair is held in Havana.
Founded in 1937, WOS Productions has been entertaining audiences for more than 75 years with their now bi-annual celebration of musical theatre.
This autumn, audiences should prepare to be whisked away on an exotic, cosmopolitan adventure with this musical classic.
