Up to 100,000 people attended this year’s Blackheath Fireworks on Saturday.
The display, one of the capital’s biggest, kicked off at midday with food and drink stalls and a funfair on the Common until the evening spectacular began at 8pm.
Although the annual event is one of London’s few major displays that remain free to the public, donations towards costs of running the show were welcomed.
Mayor of Lewisham Steve Bullock said: “Saturday’s Blackheath Fireworks was once again a fantastic display. I am so grateful to our sponsors and partners for their support and to the residents and visitors who so generously donated on the night, online and through Age Exchange in Blackheath. Their contributions are invaluable in keeping the display one of the highlights of Lewisham’s year.”
Lee Wilshire said: "It was fantastic, clear skies and even with a bit of wind towards the end of the evening it was hardly November weather."
