An assault in Erith, which has been referred to as a "stabbing" on social media, has left a man in hospital.

Boundary Street was closed and half of Northend Road was taped off after the incident at around 9pm on Saturday (November 1).

One man was taken to hospital as a priority, while another was arrested and is in police custody.

A London Ambulance Service spokesman said: "We were called just before 9pm on Saturday November 1 to reports of an assault in Boundary Street, Erith.

"We sent an ambulance crew to the scene.

"We treated a man in his 30s. He was taken to hospital as a priority."
