THE Charville by-election, for a vacant seat on Hillingdon Council, is beginning to assemble its cast.
Labour are the latest to announce their candidate after selecting John Oswell to stand in the poll on November 27.
The by-election was triggered by the resignation of Labour councillor David Horne, due to ill health.
Mr Oswell was previously a councillor for Pinkwell ward, also in Hayes, before stepping down in 2010.
Paul McKeown, from Hayes, was announced as the Liberal Democrat candidate yesterday (Thursday).
Former mayor Mary O’Connor will represent the Conservatives and Cliff Dixon will stand for UKIP.
Nominations close today at 4pm. In the last borough elections, Charville voters returned two Labour members, including Cllr Horne, and one Conservative.
