Londoners got a little musical treat on their travels last week as an orchestra made its way to Greenwich by land, air and water to launch the O2’s classical season.
Members of the Salomon Orchestra – including violinists, cellists, trumpeters, a flautist and even a harpist – navigated the city, even boarding the Thames Clippers, the Emirates Air Line.
Once at the dome, the musicians entertained passers-by ahead of The Classical Season’s opening night on November 1.
The season will see classical big hitters Il Divo (November 1), Andrea Bocelli (November 20) and Alfie Boe (December 12) perform headline.
