A new shoe company inspired by mattresses is hoping to spring off the ground, using a crowd-funding platform to raise vital funds.
The shoes feature miniature pocket springs normally found in luxury mattresses, offering more support than a regular trainer.
Darren Marcangelo, of Milbourne Lane, Esher, first thought of the idea of including bed springs in the base of a shoe when he and some colleagues at Harrison Springs ltd stood on the miniature springs and thought "wow this feels really good".
There have been more than 100 patents registered to develop spring-soled shoes, but as of yet no one has managed to achieve it, until now.
Mr Marcangelo, 41, said: "They feel like no other shoes as they have got a very unique feeling."
Springuru is hoping to get over the £15,000 Kickstarter target by Monday, November 3, to launch the £75 shoes.
