A mother-of-one from Walton has now been missing for 23 days since walking out of Epsom Hospital last month.

Police are now growing concerned for the welfare of Rosalind "Rosie" Evans, 21, who has been without access to her medication since going missing.

She had been in hospital since August 5, following the deterioration of her health after she was told her one-year-old daughter would not be coming out of care on June 30.

Miss Evans' daughter was taken into care in February this year. Her grandfather, Michael Lee, in his 70s and retired, believes she left the hospital because she was unhappy with the situation.

Miss Evans left the Epsom area at about 5.30pm on Wednesday, September 17, with the last confirmed sighting of Miss Evans on Monday, September 22, at Moorgate Tube station, but has not been seen or heard from since.

Officers are asking her to make contact with the police or her family, with her grandparents, Michael and Ann Lee, Bridge Street, Walton, urging her to get in touch with them as they will be able to help her see her daughter.

It is believed that she may have visited the Kingston, Wandsworth, Tottenham and Moorgate areas of London.

Miss Evans is white, with blue eyes, auburn hair that may have been bleached blonde before her disappearance, about 5ft 2in and of small build.

She requires regular medication and will become extremely vulnerable if she is unable to take this.

Anyone who can help with the investigation is urged to contact Surrey Police on 101 quoting reference number 45140078604, or report the information online at my.surrey.police.uk/splonlinereportingweb.
