ST JOHN Ambulance customer services assistant Dean Morley, 26, took part in the Ealing Half Marathon on Sunday, raising £250 for the first-aid charity.
The father of two from Hanwell completed the 13.1-mile race in 2hrs 29 min and was spurred on to take part in the race after seeing his sister complete a marathon last year.
He said: “I’m aching all over but really happy to have finished it. First-aid is a cause close to my heart and I hope this inspires others to raise funds for a good cause."
St John London Fundraising Coordinator Giulia De Matteis said: “At St John Ambulance, we believe nobody should die because they needed first-aid and didn’t get it.
“If you’re keen to raise funds for a good cause then why not take part in our Superhero Skydive challenge?
"You’ll have an unforgettable experience and people in your community will benefit as a result."
Dean ran with a yellow ribbon to support the #FindAlice appeal to find missing schoolgirl Alice Gross.
