A man has died during yesterday's Reigate Half Marathon.
Paramedics from South East Coast Ambulance were sent to Priory Park at 11:15 on Sunday after reports were made that a man had collapsed and was not breathing.
Two ambulances and two cars were sent and medics made attempts to resuscitate the man at the scene.
A spokeman for the service said the man was taken to East Surrey Hospital in a life-threatening condition.
It is understood the man died at the hospital in Redhill.

Reigate & Banstead Borough Council confirmed in a tweet the man had died following specialtion on Twitter.
Surrey county councillor Natalie Bramhill, who represents Redhill West, tweeted on Sunday that a young man died at the event.
"Terribly sad news, thoughts go out to his family," she said.
Thousands of runners took part in the half-marathon, in aid of three local charities: The Children's Trust at Tadworth; East Surrey Samaritans; and Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance.
All three organisations will benefit from funds raised at the event.
